One of the special things I feel with Michael Jackson is that he´s always been so close to you. Thinking of the unreal fact that he is now gone somehow makes me feel like I´ve lost someone near to me. Try listen to his music (as if you have much of a choice nowadays!). You may actually think he’s there right now.
I’ve come to this conclusion only now. As I’m listening to his Off the wall album this very moment I can’t comprehend he’s gone. But we have to accept that he’s no longer physically among us. Yet, what several people said during his memorial on the 7th of the 7th of 2009 … he’s still here with us. We need to reflect our responsibilities with the man in the mirror to do what’s right with the world. We need to heal it. We are the world or else there won’t be any ‘us’ anymore.
How bizarre can things get when you’re watching the memorial and being presented the loss of a great pop icon as if he were a Messiahs in his message to heal what we’re destructing? But we can’t deny this factuality. No matter what you believe or don’t believe, no matter if you’re black or white, Michael said it all with his music. No-one can say it better.
Michael was so true with his emotions and his musical preaching. Sunday noon you may have forgotten what Father told you, but there is no escaping from listening to his sound, his message in the DVD-player or anywhere around.
You can’t help it, if you wanted it to. In first person, also a song of him on the same disc. Michael is everywhere.
Have you noticed … the first preacher used “Remember the time”, “Black or White” and “Gone too soon” in his preach? He must have loved his Dangerous album. So do it. It’s my favorite.
And indeed, mister Michael Jackson, you’re gone too soon.
This is it. We’re on our own now, guided by your art of music.
MJ, smile …
Amen.
